The Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penality (TCADP) Annual Conference will be on Saturday, January 27th at the Southpark Omni Hotel in Austin.
Among the speakers at the conference will be Rob Owen of the UT Law School Capital Punishment Center. Rob will be arguing two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court in early January, and we can expect his keynote address at our conference to be most interesting. Other speakers include: Steve Hall of Project Standdown Texas , Nelson Linder of the Austin NAACP chapter, and Kristin Houle of Amnesty International US.
One of the main topics at the conference will be a discussion of the death penalty bills that could be considered during the current general session of the Texas legislature. In addition to providing updates on the status of efforts to end capital punishment in Texas , the conference also provides an excellent opportunity to meet network with others like you who want to stop executions.
