Keep UT Hate Free Week . This week long event
addresses multiple issues including; religious
diversity, dimensions of diversity and one’s
socioeconmic status which affects access to higher
education.
Keep UT Hate Free Week Schedule of Events
The goal of this week is to create a safe environment
for discussion and to encourage constant awareness on
campus.
March 26 – Dollars and Sense
Topics of how socioeconomic status affects one’s
access to education and life as a student will be
discussed. Participants will be required to RSVP to
this event.
Main 212 from 11:00-1:00pm
March 27 – Keep UT Hate Free Day
Various cultural, religious and ethnically diverse
student groups will table on the West Mall, sharing
their experiences with the UT community.

Main Event and Reception
A panel of faculty and administration officials will
be speaking about their personal experiences and how
they have witnessed or been victims of stereotypes,
prejudice, and ignorance.
Main 210 and 212 from 6:30-700PM and 7:00-8:30PM
March 28 – Celebrating Religious Diversity
A panel of speakers will give students the opportunity
to gain knowledge and a better understanding of
various religions in regards to historical backgrounds
and meaning to their followers.
San Jacinto Multipurpose Room from 5:00-7:00PM
March 29 – Dimensions of Diversity
This event will foster an environment in which
students feel comfortable sharing their experiences
with their multiple identities and gain insight into
the identities of others. Well known speakers,
professors, staff and members of the UT community will
participate.
Recreational Sports Center from 6:00-8:00PM
March 30 – Looking to the Future
All members of the UT community are encouraged to
attend this event to brainstorm ways to continue
conversations pertaining to the events of the week.
The goal is to build on the momentum of the Keep UT
Hate Free Campaign.
