Please join a mass “End the War in Iraq” petition drive on the streets of Austin, Aug 21 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm

The petition reads simply, “To all members of the Texas Congressional delegation, We, the undersigned, call for an immediate end to the war in Iraq and to bring all US forces home now!”

Petition organizers will gather across the street from the entrance to the Hilton Hotel on 5th and Red River.

Also, Senator Cornyn will be having a reception in the Hilton Hotel at 5:15, sponsored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Today’s Austin American-Statesman editorial quoted Cornyn: “I think he’s (President Bush) got it about right on the war, as painful as that is…”
