Texas is set to execute Kenneth Foster for the August 1996 murder of Michael LaHood on August 30.
The state of Texas should not execute Foster for his role in this crime. Executing Foster would violate the right to life as declared in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and constitute the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment. Kenneth Foster did not kill Michael LaHood. However, since Texas has the Law of Parties, Foster received the death penalty for being present at the murder.
Since his imprisonment, Foster has become active in the prisoners’ rights movement and is an organizer among death row inmates in the Texas death row unit. He has one daughter.
Please write to Gov. Rick Perry on behalf of Kenneth Foster!
