Gather at the entrance of the Thompson Conference Center
This Wednesday, the CIA will be holding a recruitment session at UT. People familiar with the history of the CIA — toppling democratically-elected governments, aiding dictatorships, economic enslavement, drug trafficking, the torture and murder of activists and innocent civilians across the world — will recognize that mission of the CIA is fundamentally at odds with the stated mission of our University.* Join CAMEO, SDS, and other concerned students for an actual information session, and tell the CIA that they are not welcome on our campus!
Please bring signs expressing the message “CIA off our campus!” There will be fact sheets about what employment with the CIA really entails. Twice now, the CIA has “cancelled” or moved its sessions in an attempt to thwart our protests. This demonstration will go on regardless of any last-minute cancellation announcements.
