San Antonio: Blessing Peacemakers

Sunday, January 27th, 4th annual BLESSING OF THE PEACEMAKERS at the peaceCENTER
1443 S. St. Mary’s, San Antonio, TX 78210

5:30 pm: interfaith blessing ceremony
6:30 pm: peacePOTLUCK (bring a dish to share)

To launch the annual SEASON FOR NONVIOLENCE, the peaceCENTER is hosting the blessing of the Peacemakers to honor our collective and individual visions for an empowered, nonviolent world. All are welcome!

This year we will be announcing San Antonio’s first PEACE LAUREATE. Dana Clark will be leading the peace choir (you can sing along) and we’ll be hearing inspiring words about all of the “vitamin Cs” that keep our voices for peace healthy: Courage, Committment, Community, Conscience, Compassion . . . afterwards, we’ll all gather to share a meal (bring a dish, enough to to share with about 6-8 others — vegetarian fare is especially appreciated. )

If you have literature you would like to distribute, petitions to circulate, announcements to make, there will be space and time at the potluck.

Mark your calendars! Bring a friend! We would be blessed by your presence. If you have questions, call the peaceCENTER at 210-224-HOPE or visit our Web site at www.salsa.net/ peace. The peaceCENTER is just south of downtown San Antonio, co-located with the Mennonite Church Across the street from Brackenridge High School on the border between the Lavaca and King William neighborhoods.
