The Palestine Solidarity Committee is raising money to send 2008-2009 co-chair Isaac Kalish to the Occupied West Bank in August on a delegation with Birthright Unplugged, but it isn’t cheap. This coming Tuesday we will be holding a charity benefit party and poker tournament to raise the funds in time.
To raise money, we are inviting you to play Texas Hold ‘Em poker with us for a surprise prize. $10 per buy-in and unlimited buy-ins! (If you want to play but don’t know how, we can teach you)
But, you don’t have to play poker to enjoy the fun. There will be plenty of food, drink, and music. Hip-Hop, 80’s and Middle Eastern jams provided by DJ kittypawz.
Any money raised over the amount needed, or if the plans fall through, will be donated to humanitarian needs in Palestine. Remember, it’s a benefit, so bring your friends!
