Hit the Highway for Hemp

Friday at 4:20 p.m., At IH-35 Overpass on 11th and 12th Street

Texas Hemp Campaign – Who Needs A Bailout Demonstration: Pro-Hemp forces are gaining strength every day, but this fight will not be easy to win. More than sixty years of lies and deception have done their job. We can and will overturn Hemp Prohibition, so remember that you are working for something historic in its implications for the Earth and the human race, and Truth and Time are on our sides.

In August of 1988, The Drug Enforcement Administration’s chief administrative law judge , Francis Young recommended legalizing marijuana as a prescription drug for treatment of multiple sclerosis and nausea suffered by cancer patients in chemotherapy. Judge Francis Young, found that “marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substance known to man.”

More and more people are starting to believe that, the worst thing about marijuana is the laws we have against it.” The total direct annual Federal funding for all programs related to the so-called war on drugs is more than eight billion dollars of tax payer money. The percentage of those funds appropriated to drug treatment and rehabilitation is only 6%. The drug war has indeed been lost!

The Texas Hemp Campaign will be at the overpass again to demonstrate the truth about hemp. A legally regulated crop would yield billions of dollars in tax revenue and replace thousands of jobs. Hemp plants could replace all fossil fuels and their by-products, reducing pollution. Hemp also relieves the side effects or symptoms of glaucoma, AIDS, cancer, chemotherapy, migraines, muscular dystrophy, PMS, asthma, and other medical problems. Already 11 states have “legalized medical marijuana”. Hemp is the Number One cash crop in California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Missouri and North Carolina. Can we really afford not to legalize and not tax hemp.
