North Loop Blvd. Jonathan Demme’s “The Agronomist” tracks the life and work of Jean Dominique of Haiti, who studied agronomy before starting the radio station Haiti Inter in the 1960s. While the station was attacked and shut down several times by the Duvaliers and later military governments, Dominique, joined by his wife, always returned to broadcast again with the same courageous and critical tone.
