The Stop the Cuts Teach-In is for all interested and concerned UT employees, students, and community members. We will be sharing information, followed by an open discussion, on the university-wide budget cuts and layoffs. We must get the word and motivate discussion about the drastic and unnecessary proposed budget cuts to undergraduate and graduate courses, layoffs of instructors and staff, and overall degradation of the teaching and learning environment at UT. Speaker: Tom Palaima (Classics professor), Jim Rubarth-Lay (recently laid off UT staff), Mohan Ambikaipaker (Anthropology graduate assistant instructor), and Caroline O’Connor (Texas State Employees Union organizer).
